Are you a loser?

Don’t get rankled with this question. You would be in fact taken aback if I tell you that this is a marketing campaign by one of the new breed Obesity clinics in Hyderabad (no names please :) ). The first time I read it on a hoarding, I thought I got it wrong. The next day I made sure not to miss it and was totally surprised and amused to read this one liner on a huge decorated board at a busy traffic centre in the city. Don’t miss the note they mentioned against the (*) mark. :D

Whoa! What kind of publicity is that? I mean I will definitely not enroll myself into any of your health programs if I stand the risk of being called a loser after all. Marketing one-liners this weird are an obvious put off for any prospect customers. I am no exception either. Re-inventing your creative quotient need not be so adverse that it goes out of bounds and takes your idea to a point of no return or may be to a point with very few returns. Go, Get a life!

Random Thoughts

I am yet to watch Avatar. Tickets for Avatar 2D were easier to get than 3D and I had already made my mind that I would catch it only in 3D. We could not get bulk tickets in the first few weeks and later I became busy. And, now I have lost interest at least not as much required to pull me to the theatre playing it. But, I hope to watch before it is pulled out of Hyderabad. There are few other flicks besides Avatar on my list - Ishqiyan, Sherlock Holmes and couple of others. I usually prefer watching movies on the big screen than at home. It does not build the atmosphere and neither does it have that feel to it. Would love to write a film review here again!

I have been very busy at work of late, working like never before. It has been a year since I have worked this hard. Hope to find time for myself again very soon. Meanwhile, things aren't getting any better in Hyderabad. People are being crazy about this Telangana fever. What good will it make anyway? Disturbing internal peace and debts of hundreds and thousands of crores all over again. :(

House Hunting

Despite persistent efforts to rent a house for the last two weeks, we fall short of coming across 'the perfect' house - flawless is what I mean. We must have seen around 15 apartments or individual houses, but nothing falls into the i-love-it-and-ready-to-occupy bracket. What all virtues does this bracket hold then? Well, nothing much... I would like big spacious rooms, at least three bedrooms, a neatly done living room and lots of storage. Oops! missed some other details like big balconies, good ventilation and more importantly all these at an affordable price! :D

That's too much you might say, but what's wrong in desiring something that brings satisfaction? By the way, I didn't mention the city we are house-hunting in - Hyderabad. If we come across a good apartment with most of the requirements met, it will either not have closed cupboards among others or has serious problems like seepage, which are hard to tolerate in the long run.

We thought recession has had a big impact on real estate and would help us in getting a worthy yet reasonable bargain. Nothing happened that way. The rents are still sky-rocketing in prime localities. But, we are positive about the hunt and hope to negotiate a fair deal soon.

Mysterial Myth

Long long time ago.... someone used to write on this page - a spirited being, an awakened soul (?) - that it (read a person) created for itself to vent its opinions and feelings. People say the spirit has died down because it vanished all of a sudden after making few solemnly rare appearances for sometime. Now, nobody knows what the truth is or where the spirit has gone? Some call it the mysterial myth!

This blog is still running!

The previous post was dated in October. It has been more than a month now, and that's because I did not have the enthusiasm to write all these days. There was nothing to drive me to it. You normal again? No. It is just that i felt bad looking at my blog. And, may be it's quite natural for writers to pass through such a phase sometime in their lives. Moreover, what do I write? Give me something to write on. You are the one running this damn blog here. You gotto decide that. Well, ok, but it may take some more time. :)

Time-pass

I had a nice nap in the afternoon during TT lecture and was awakened by the Asso. Prof.. :D It was a nice experience though, being interrupted by your teacher in the middle of a relaxing nap. I was feeling very tired as I had no proper sleep last night. I was on my way home from Hyderabad on a bus. She woke me up and asked me if I was sleeping and I said yes. I thought she would ask some questions related to the topic she was teaching at that moment, but she didn't say anything, was that final semester freedom, or may be she felt empathetic towards me.

I confirmed my project on Audio Signal Processing which I would start working on in the first week of January. And, that may extend up to two months. By the way, we had a blast of time in Hyderabad. Caught some memorable moments on cam.
